I have to agree with Nadir. The post was good in general but I think new to intermediate affiliate marketer would read this and leave with nothing. However, as an introduction to finding good products this is a good start.

How To Find Products For Affiliate Marketing
Ok Winson Yeung,

I am sure your intention is to help, but you have to follow your own advice to be able to be helpful.

If I am looking to find products, and need advice, then that puts me in the category of the inexperienced Affiliate marketer who needs to know how to do this. Your advice does not answer the question of "How To Find Products For Affiliate Marketing?" it should be labeled "Product research strategies" let me explain:

Here are the important points of your article:

1. There are things that will get you happy about selling or you suspect are just excellent products for some niche that you are targeting but it might not do much for you.

What are these things? qualitatively and quantitatively ?

2. target a product that you’ve got an interest in so you can build some credibility.

Interest leads to motivation, not creditability. its knowledge, honesty, and trust that leads to creditability.

3. look for the things that are selling good already.

How do you know if something is selling good ? what is the technique or tools to find out?
remember this is only a newbie that would follow on to read such a title.

4. identify and understand the requirement as well as know how best to satisfy it.
Again how do I identify these requirements? let alone understand them ?

5.The buyers you are desiring to offer products have certain expectations and needs they want to have met. It’s your job to find these out and make them available.

So who does not know this very basic concept, but how is it done? what are the tools of the research and what is the criteria of measurement?

6. The needs the buyer has is the bare minimum that they must have in the product or service. It’s the cake. The topping on the cake would be the expectancies that they have. It is the extras.

(you are talking benefits vs features, so be more specific)

8. The requirement needs to be addressed completely and the expectancy should be met if at all possible. That would make the difference between getting and losing a sale.

Unless you know how to find out what the customer wants? but how do you do that?

9. Another thing that you have got to consider when on the lookout for products is the level of competition that the product has in the market.

How do I find out about that competition? where is the data located, and how is this competition measured or identified?

10. Observe the overall market and see if you’ve got a legitimate chance of being competitive.

Its all about knowing how its done? if I am reading your article its questions you created and not answered.

11. See how your product competes with others in the niche.

Look were? measure how?

12. When trying to find good products, you must gauge the level of interest in that niche. Is it a large market? Is it a purchasing market? How much are they ready to spend and does your service fit in that range?

Look were? measure how?

13. Study the level of success that others are having selling that product / service. When you’re trying to get a good product for affiliate internet marketing, you need to sell something that others are having success with. If the level of sales are high and / or climbing, then you will have something worth putting your energies into. If sales are stagnating or tapering off, it might be worthwhile to look somewhere else as demand could be dropping for some reason or the market has reached the top of interest that they’ll have in it.

Look were? measure how?

I think you need to understand the needs of the people who look for this type of article. I am just a customer you have just let down.

Best Regards,

Nadir,
